Title: Financial Information for Management

Code: ACC111

The course is designed to assist students to develop knowledge and understanding of the application of management accounting techniques to support the management processes of planning, control and decision-making. More specifically upon completion of the course students will be able to explain the role of management accounting within an organization and the requirement for management information, and understand the principles of costing. Additionally students will be able to explain the elements of cost, the different costing systems, the costing methods and techniques, understand and demonstrate the cost factors affecting production and pricing decisions, and understand the basic principles of performance management.
