We proudly announce that on September 12, 2007 the Council of Ministers, following the positive recommendation of the Evaluation Committee of Private Universities, has granted the University status to Cyprus College.

Cyprus College has been in the forefront of higher education in Cyprus since 1961.  Since then, the College has made a tremendous impact on the educational community as one of leading academic institutions of the country. Gaining University status is a well deserved recognition for its achievements and a true reflection of the academic quality offered through its educational programs.

Cyprus College, with its transformation into the European University Cyprus (EUC), will continue to play a leading role in the academia of the country, as well as, of the region. For about half a century, we have developed an extensive web of global academic connections – including our synergy with Laureate International Universities - that can be enlarged in the new operation of the European University Cyprus (EUC).

The European University Cyprus (EUC) is well positioned to advance research and knowledge as well as to respond to the needs and demands of our modern societies by investing in centers, institutes, staff, facilities, and resources that are vital in achieving the evolution of the ‘knowledge society’. The European University Cyprus (EUC) is definitely the forerunner of knowledge.
